Good evening sir, I went to pay nepa bill. My current charge is N10, 000 but I have N8, 000. After paying the N8, 000 they wrote on my own copy of the bill DNP. I asked them the meaning of DNP they refused to tell me. The only answer I got from them after much pressing was its their term and it means I didnt pay up to the current charge. So sir, what could that mean and its implications.

Good afternoon Vitus. DNP means you have been flagged for disconnection. If you are not owing any arrears on your bill, you should not be slated for disconnection when you have cleared 80% of your current charge. If you are owing arrears, we advise that you pay up the full current charge and, possibly, part of the arrears to forestall any disconnection.
