The last bill I got in January was 15,173 of which I paid 10,000. Since then we didnt get electricity again till about 29th March. Today PHED brought a bill of of 16,965. (10,000 of it being arrears). What options are available to me to check this day light robbery? Thank you.

Complain IN WRITING to the PHEDC Business Unit serving your location. They may not take any action but it is a necessary step before you can take the matter to the NERC Forum, which is statutorily empowered to handle the issue. Give the DisCo 15 days to respond to your letter. If they do not, write to the Chairman of the Uyo NERC Forum. You can find the address on the link below. Best of luck as you sort this out.
