Please when will PHED install prepaid meters in Rumalogu, Obio Akpor LGA of Rivers State? This estimated billing is not helping us here. Again why is it that PHED only brings light regularly only when they are sharing bills(for 2days) and when they on on raid of disconnection(3days)? Dear Charles, Only the PHEDC can give an insight into its schedule for meter disbursement, we are not privy to that arrangement. On your second question, the PHEDC is in a better position to explain why there seems to be a more quantitative supply during the period when bill are being distributed, and when disconnections are being effected. On the issue of estimated billing, please note that you have a right to be billed strictly - and correctly - on the basis of the quantum of electricity you consume. The law allows you to demand for a review of your bill if you feel that you are being over-charged for electricity services. Write a letter to the PHEDC business unit serving your area, demanding of it a bill review. Get PHEDC to acknowledge receipt of this letter and keep a copy for yourself. Ensure you allow PHEDC a 15-working day period to address the issues raised in your letter. It is highly probable that PHEDC will refuse to act on this matter. So after the 15-working day period (if it actually fails to act within it), write another letter to the NERC Forum Office in Port Harcourt. Ensure you lay bare all your complaints, and also attach with this letter a copy of the the letter you had earlier written to PHEDC. You can deliver this letter by yourself or through a courier.
